The GUIDE TO HUMAN SERVICES is here!!!

United Way of Northeast Louisiana is proud to announce that its online GUIDE TO HUMAN SERVICES is now operational and can be accessed through our website.  United Way 2-1-1 is responding to crisis by providing individuals with information and referrals to get the help they need to stabilize crisis situations and assist in planning long-term solutions.  The GUIDE TO HUMAN SERVICES is the latest way that United Way of Northeast Louisiana is helping people find the help they need.  This is a comprehensive guide to community resources available in Northeast Louisiana and includes information on over 1200 agencies and programs.  Users will find an overview of social services, how to obtain community services, and specific information on most service providers in the area.  It will provide fast access to information about issues such as food, shelter, clothing, abuse/neglect prevention and protection, rent/utility assistance, elderly services, disease support groups, counseling, education, children/youth services, and much more.  Agency profiles include address, telephone numbers, web and email addresses, hours of operation, disability access, fees, eligibility requirements, and service descriptions.  The GUIDE TO HUMAN SERVICES is just the latest way that United Way is improving lives and community.  For more information on the guide, call Jan Wawrzyniak at 325-3869 or by email at jwawrzyniak@uwnela.org.
